Sandals Foundation Reading Road Trip

We will give back when we go back to school on the Reading Road Trip, a unique opportunity to engage with Caribbean children and to enhance their lives. Reading a story is just the beginning of this enlightening experience when we are paired with a small group of children ages 3-10 years old at their school. Our entertaining questions will keep the kids attentive while at the same time improving their listening and comprehension skills. Then imagination takes over as everyone gets to draw their favorite parts of the tale. As these youngsters complete their reading aptitude sheets our one-on-one help will open a new chapter of renewed excitement about learning. We'll take home memories of sharing something special from the heart and feel free to donate a favorite new or gently used book to the school's library for the children to enjoy time and time again.

Volcano Highlight

Imagine visiting the eighth wonder of the world - an actual active volcano that we can drive right into, that's what we will be doing. First, we'll travel through the quaint fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries on to the banana plantations. We'll arrive in Soufriere (the old capital of Saint Lucia) and visit the world famous Sulphur Springs "drive-in-volcano". On the way back, we'll proceed to the lookout hotspot for a photo op of the picturesque Marigot Bay. This is a tour we won't want to miss.
