4x4 Bob Marley Jeep Tour

This encounter is a must for us; we are fans of reggae music and the immortal Bob Marley. We'll visit the place where Marley, the one-of-a-kind "King of Reggae," was born and spent much of his childhood, and where he was laid to rest. The quaint village of Nine Mile, is nestled in the rustically beautiful mountains of St. Ann, through some of the most breathtaking scenery in Jamaica. A Rastafarian guide will show us throughout the house Marley lived in as a young boy and share insights into his childhood and musical career. Stand on "Mount Zion Rock," where Bob used to meditate and rest your head on "The Pillow," made famous in his song "Talking Blues." Finally, we'll pay our respects to this towering talent at the mausoleum, which is his final resting place.

4x4 Dunn's River Safari

We will experience Jamaica like a native aboard one of their safari themed 4x4's. We'll get a glimpse of 200 different species of ferns, as we drive through world-famous Fern Gully. We'll enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and valleys, as we're embraced by the island's lush, natural beauty. We'll journey up to Ocho Rios’ highest viewpoint, Murphy Hill, which sits 2000 feet above sea level, from where we can marvel at awe-inspiring views of the town, the Blue Mountains and even on a clear day, the neighboring island of Cuba. We'll pass through small villages, where we can learn the history of old churches and see colorful native marketplaces. We'll stop at one of Jamaica's largest estates, where we'll get to witness a working cattle station and a small coffee plantation in full swing. We will get to taste the island's delicious and exotic fruits. We will immerse ourselves in Jamaica's great history. Then, we'll get ready for the highlight of our tour - a visit to globally renowned Dunn's River Falls, where we can get the thrill of our life and make unforgettable memories when we climb the gorgeous, 600-foot cascades.

Bamboo River Rafting

We will climb aboard a 30-foot, bamboo raft and be poled down a jade-green river's core by our very own experienced raft captain. The Martha Brae River, located in the Jamaican parish of Trelawny (birthplace of sprinter Usain Bolt) invites us to trail our hand in its shimmering waters. We will gaze raptly at towering trees filled with brightly-hued birds and exotic flowers as we glide past the tropical river banks. We'll surrender to the romance of the moment, sensing leaves rustling in the breeze. We'll experience a truly Jamaican pastime as we raft down a gently twisting river glistening in the sun.

Bicycle Adventure in the Blue Mountains

We will discover a side of Jamaica that very few even know exists. We will tear ourselves away from the beach for a few hours and journey up into the majestic Blue Mountains, the highest mountain range in the English-speaking Caribbean. Home to the world-famous Blue Mountain coffee, this soaring and swooping landscape offers breathtaking, panoramic views of mist covered peaks and pristine, emerald valleys. We'll cycle along hilly paths that pass through a tropical rainforest. We'll learn all about the indigenous herbs and plants that seem to grow everywhere we look. We'll view coffee plantations, with their bean-clad plants clinging to the mountainsides. We'll enjoy a cool dip under a crystal clear waterfall emerging from a sheer rock face. Heritage Horseback Beach Ride

We will immerse ourselves in the incredible history of Jamaica - all as we travel across the tropical landscape on horseback. We'll start off with a visit to Seville Great House Museum, where we can marvel at a wealth of artifacts. We'll ride by towering Great Houses and massive sugar factory ruins that date back nearly 500 years. We'll trot leisurely through wooded areas, where the ancient Taino Indian tribe used to hunt for food long before Columbus first arrived on the island and claimed it for the Spanish Crown. We'll witness archaeological excavations intended to uncover the deep-rooted history of this area. We'll dig into delicious refreshments, served in their jungle beach hut. Then we'll strip down to our bathing suits and get ready for an exhilarating dash through the waves on horseback, as we plunge into the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

Jungle River Tubing

Our adventure will begin when we board our tube at the water's edge. As we navigate the rushing rapids of the river, their attentive and knowledgeable local guides will show us the ropes and introduce us to a seldom-seen Jamaica. Along the way, we'll be on the lookout for a glimpse of some of the many exotic, indigenous jungle animals that make their home in this luscious tropical habitat. Zion Bus Line

We'll climb on board their authentic Jamaican country bus, the "Zion Bus Line," which will take us on a pulsating pilgrimage to the mountain village of Nine Mile, the birthplace and final resting spot of the "King of Reggae," Bob Marley. Along the way, we'll take a scenic tour of rural island life. We'll groove to the rhythm of Bob's greatest hits, as our driver negotiates the narrow winding country roads. We will level the vibes with an IRIE Rum Punch and listen carefully as our guide takes us through the town and regale us with colorful stories about the life and times of young Bob and the adventures he had growing up in the hills of St. Ann.
